If you've ever wanted to track down specific uniques or chase those coveted 3 Legendary Potential (LP) items in Last Epoch, target farming is the key. Whether you're after a World Splitter or another rare drop, this guide will walk you through efficient strategies, common mistakes to avoid, and how to push your luck with Nemesis and Weaver systems. A large amount of Last Epoch gold will also help you a lot.

Common Mistakes New Players Make

Before diving into boss routes and loot mechanics, it's worth addressing two big misconceptions many new players have about target farming in Last Epoch.

1. Prophecies don't affect boss drops.

If you're part of the Circle of Fortune faction, you've likely noticed how powerful prophecies are for boosting world drops. However, they do not influence loot tables from bosses. Save them for farming exalted items or unique world drops instead. Many players waste stacks of prophecies trying to improve boss-specific drops like the World Splitter, only to see no change.

2. Certain items can drop anywhere.

A frequent myth is that uniques like Titan's Heart only drop in specific timelines, such as Blood, Frost, and Death. While these timelines do offer echoes that increase your odds of finding unique chest rewards, the items themselves can drop in any timeline. So if you're farming one specific item, don't limit yourself unnecessarily.

Farming the World Splitter (and Similar Boss Uniques)

Let's take the World Splitter axe as an example. This weapon drops from both normal and Uber Aberath, as well as from the Harbinger of Hatred. Since Aberath runs tend to be longer and riskier, most players prefer targeting the Harbinger instead.

Where to find it:

The Harbinger of Hatred is located in the Black Sun timeline. You have two efficient options to farm him:

Method 1 - Traditional Stability Farming:

Complete echoes until your stability bar reaches around 800, then challenge the Harbinger. Make sure to tick the Harbinger boss option before the fight, as he's the one who drops the World Splitter.

Method 2 - Collapsing Horizons Echo:

A faster alternative was introduced in Season 2. This special echo summons only the Harbinger of the timeline and grants the same loot table as a full boss fight. You can stock up on Woven Echoes from the Haven of Silk vendor to keep the farm going.

For efficiency, aim for around 300-500 corruption, though higher levels (up to 1,000) yield better odds. Pick up every World Splitter that drops, even the zero LP ones-they'll become valuable in the next step.

Upgrading with Nemesis Encounters

Once you've got a stash of axes (or any unique you're target farming), it's time to roll for higher LP versions.

Spec into the Weaver's Tree nodes that increase the chance to find Nemesis encounters, then run Nemesis Tower Echoes. These maps contain multiple Nemesis fights, speeding up the process dramatically.
